Gina Howard, MS, LPC, CADC

Gina began working at Alpharus Health Carbondale in 1998 as an undergraduate student at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Beginning her career as a Chemical Dependency Technician, she quickly discovered a love for the job and worked to move up into a counseling position. While working at Alpharus Health, she received a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Administration and Services, and became a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Gina later took a position at our Caseyville location as a Clinical Supervisor, during which time she earned a Professional Counselor license. In 2015, she relocated to the Springfield site, where she currently resides as a Program Director.

For the past 20 years, she has dedicated her life to her passion of helping others regain control of their lives, through fighting the disease of addiction. Her philosophy has been “Each one, reach one, we are all in this together”.
