Karen started her professional journey in 2008 at Alpharus Health Springfield as a Receptionist. She now has 11 years of clinical experience in the mental health and substance abuse field. Karen obtained a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Springfield and a Masters in Social Work from Saint Louis University. In addition, she became a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She currently serves as a Program Director and directly oversees the Admissions Department. Her desire has always been to help people in need, which she has been able to by using both her clinical and managerial skills to help improve the lives of our patients.
